These Alaskan Yellow Cedar Perfection shingles are old growth and are sawn with 100% vertical grain. They have a 7/16″ thick butt and are 18″ long. The grade is “Red Label” which means there is no defect on the bottom half of the shingle. Four bundles will cover 100 SF at 5.5″ exposure. Alaskan Yellow Cedar is highly decay resistant (more so than Western Red Cedar) and within a few months weathers naturally to a silvery gray. Can be used for sidewalls and roofing. Plenty available for pickup in Moultonborough NH and Stoughton MA.
