Alaskan Yellow Cedar Tapersawn shingles are 100% old growth. They are sawn with an extra thick 5/8″ thick butt and are 18″ long. They are “Mill Grade” which means defects such as small knots are allowed on the exposed face. Five bundles will cover 100 SF at 7.5″ exposure. Seven bundles will cover 100 SF at 5.5″ exposure. Alaskan Yellow Cedar is highly decay resistant (more so than Western Red Cedar) and within a few months weathers naturally to a silvery gray. For sidewalls only on occupied buildings. Can be used for roofing on unoccupied buildings such as sheds and barns. Plenty available for pickup in Moultonborough NH and Stoughton MA.
