Alaskan Yellow Cedar Tapersawn shingles are 100% old growth. They are sawn with an extra thick 5/8″ thick butt and are 18″ long. They are #2 grade which means they are clear & vertical grain on at least the bottom 9″ of the shingle. Five bundles will cover 100 SF at 7.5″ exposure. Seven bundles will cover 100 SF at 5.5″ exposure. Alaskan Yellow Cedar is highly decay resistant (more so than Western Red Cedar) and within a few months weathers naturally to a silvery gray. Can be used for roofing or sidewalls.
