These Mill Grade tapersawn shingles are 100% old growth heartwood and are sawn with an extra thick 5/8″ butt and are 18″ long. Occasional defects are allowed in this grade over the entire length of the shingle. However, as shown in the photos most of the pieces are clear on the exposed face. Seven bundles will cover 100 SF at 5.5″ exposure. Five bundles will cover 100 SF at 7.5″ exposure. Per building codes, to be used for sidewalls only on occupied structures. Can be used for roofing on unoccupied buildings such as sheds and barns.
