Alaskan Yellow Cedar Perfection shingles have a 7/16″ thick butt and are 18″ long. The grade is “Red Label” which means there is no defect on the bottom half of the shingle. Perfection style shingles are not always kiln dried (KD) and are not resquared and rebutted (R&R). Four bundles will cover 100 SF at 5.5″ exposure. Old growth Alaskan Yellow Cedar is highly decay resistant (more so than Western Red Cedar) and within a few months weathers naturally to a silvery gray as seen in the last 2 photos below. Can be used for sidewalls and roofing. Plenty available for pickup in Moultonborough NH and Stoughton MA.
