Natural bark siding was used by Native Americans for building shelters for centuries. Over the past 25 years, the manufacturer has perfected their method of harvesting and processing poplar bark into “shingles” for exterior siding and interior accenting. Each bark shingle is cut and peeled by hand on site in the forest after the trees are felled and prior to the logs being taken to the sawmill. The kiln drying process assures stability and also kills any living insects or larvae. The bark shingles are cut to 18 inch lengths that are installed with a 2″ overlap for exterior applications or can be butted end to end for interior use. Please contact us for more information.
